Uno de dos; La Paz venció a «Corre» y enfrentará a Mérida por el pase a cuartos
Club Atlético La Paz salió victorioso en el primer partido de fase final que disputa en su historia. La escuadra aurinegra superó a Correcaminos con un gol de Flavio Santos a balón parado y ya se prepara para disputar el Play-In 2 contra Venados.
El partido de Play-In entre sudcalifornianos y tamaulipecos inició con una disputa constante por el balón. Poco a poco los locales empezaron a generar oportunidades y estuvieron cerca del gol tras estrellar dos disparos en el travesaño; uno de Erick Espinoza al minuto 26 y otro de Daniel Amador al 40.
El primer tiempo terminó sin nada para nadie. En el arranque de la segunda mitad hubo una jugada por bando en la que ambos equipos reclamaron penal, pero el árbitro deliberó que no había ninguna infracción.
Locales y visitantes siguieron buscando sus oportunidades pisando área rival, pero Los Paceños fueron los que pudieron abrir el marcdor y lo hicieron a balón parado. Luis “El Vaquero” Morales mandó un buen centro desde el córner y Flavio Santos se desmarcó en el primer poste para batir la portería del Estadio Marte R. Gómez.
Tras la anotación paceña, Correcaminos se volcó al frente y tuvo sus chances, pero Los Paceños hicieron lo propio yendo al contragolpe. Luis Pérez mandó el balón a las redes en lo que pudo haber sido el 2-0 pero el cuerpo arbitral invalidó de manera correcta el gol. El marcador no se movió más y Los Paceños avanzaron a la siguiente ronda.
A Club Atlético La Paz aún le queda un reto por afrontar para acceder a los cuartos de final. El equipo dirigido por Jaime Durán viajará a Mérida para enfrentar a Venados en la segunda instancia del Play-In. El partido se disputará este domingo 12 de noviembre a las 4:00 p.m. (Hora de La Paz) en el Estadio Carlos Iturralde.
