Carlos Roberto Quintana pone el ejemplo en el deporte
Carlos Roberto Quintana Orozco, quien funge como director general de Educación Física en Baja California Sur decidió interrumpir durante el fin de semana el alto cargo y responsabilidades administrativas para desempolvarse en las actividades de competencia y participó en el torneo de Grappling (Nogi) “Sudcal Open” de Jiu-jitsu brasileño; rememorando su faceta como uno de los mejors exponentes en luchas asociadas, actividad que lo llevó a la cúspide deportiva y que años más tarde quedará al frente como presidente de dicha asociación.
Como atleta fue 3 veces campeón nacional y 3 veces subcampeón de la antes llamada olimpiada nacional y seleccionado nacional, además de participar en el mundial de playa en Turquía, todo esto en las luchas asociadas.
“Recordamos lo que es una preparación para una competencia, remontando los años dorados cuando uno tenía que subir a combate, sintiendo nervios y ganas de vencer al adversario. El deporte cambió mi vida y uno observa desde las entrañas lo que se requiere cuando estas en los eventos deportivos; desde su organización hasta como existe un esfuerzo para que sea un evento de gran calidad. Eso debemos enfocarnos a apoyar a todos los deportistas y sus promotores sin distingo en las actividades; todos por igual”, expresó el “Profe” Quintana.
Quintana expresó su apoyo total no como funcionario, si no como alguien que se inclina siempre al deporte tanto en su práctica, como en apoyo a las nuevas generaciones por ello destacó la labor de Ricardo Ruelas quien promueve el Jiu-jitsu brasileño de manera exitosa.
Carlos Quintana finalizó en la competencia como primer lugar, poniendo el ejemplo que no solo es un funcionario que le gusta el deporte por lo que hizo en su camino, si no que se prepara físicamente para continuar compitiendo en las actividades deportivas, desde senderismo, carrera o combate como lo fue en esta ocasión.
