Arrancan los Juegos Deportivos Escolares de Educación Básica 2023
Esta semana comenzaron los Juegos Deportivos Escolares de la Educación Básica 2023, nivel primaria, cuyo objetivo es promover en el alumnado la competencia sana y el desarrollo de habilidades físicas y cognitivas, informó Carlos Roberto Quintana Orozco, director de Educación Física en Baja California Sur.
Al primer evento de apertura en Comondú siguió el de La Paz y posteriormente se hará lo propio en Los Cabos, Loreto y Mulegé; en cada municipio se incluyen las disciplinas de futbol, beisbol, basquetbol, handball, voleibol, ajedrez y atletismo, con una participación esperada de más de 16 mil estudiantes de primaria.
En el inicio de cada ciclo escolar, explicó Quintana Orozco, se pone en marcha la etapa intramuros de las competiciones en cada plantel; de ahí se conforman selecciones que representarán a las escuelas en la fase sectorial y los ganadores pasarán al nivel municipal, hasta finalmente llegar a la competencia estatal, programada para marzo de 2024.
Destacó el titular de Educación Física que para este año se agregó el beisbol femenil, como parte de una estrategia educativa para incluir a todos los estudiantes por igual y así crear en las comunidades estudiantiles conciencia sobre la igualdad de género.
Desde la SEP y la Dirección de Educación Física, reiteró el funcionario, se continuarán promoviendo actividades que fomenten la convivencia sana y ayuden a desarrollar las habilidades de niñas y niños para que mejoren su rendimiento académico.
